“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostle, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and the teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12

Here at Freedom for Life Family Church we take the mandate to train and equip God’s people very seriously. We provide training and resources in 5 distinct areas to ensure you will have a proper understanding of the Word of God and the ability to walk in His call on your life.

5 Keys of Equipping and Training Believers to do the Work of the Ministry:

1. Understanding the Born Again Message

John 3:1-10

There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Here on the website we have provided a teaching which contains 7 separate sessions, which range in length from 7-15 minutes. You will learn:

-The original creation of the soul (Gen 2:7)
-The removal of the Holy Spirit (Genesis 6:3)
-The reason no soul went to Heaven between Genesis 6:3 and John 20:22.
-The completion of your soul (John 20:22)
-The true meaning of repentance
-Being born again is not a prayer, it’s a confession

This series will answer these questions, and help further your understanding of what it truly means to be “Born Again”. Click the link below to hear this message.

2. Learning to Understand Relationship with God is Obedience not Sacrifice

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you…”

Pastor Doug has been teaching and continues to teach the commands of Jesus that are taught through out the Gospels. John 14:15 states, “If you love me, obey my commandments.” Click here to begin listening to the teachings of the Commandments of Jesus.

3. Healing & Deliverance of the Traumas & Wounds of Your Soul

In order to understand the challenges we face in our mind, will, and emotions we need to understand how our soul was created. Once we understand our soul, we will begin to be able to identify life events that have wounded us and start on the path to being free of the things we suffer from.

4. Understanding Prophecy is Directly Linked to God’s Times and Seasons

God operates in times and seasons. In Galatians 4:4 (NLT) it states, “But when the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.” Our God is a God of order and He words within the times and seasons He created.

God created the 24 hour day which starts at sunset (Gen 1:5). He created the week (Gen 2:2-3), and the months of the year (Ex. 12:2). In the western culture we have been taught to celebrate our cultural holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, etc). Did you know there is a western holiday every month (except for August)?

We, at Freedom for Life Family Church, choose to honor God on the first of every month (based on the Hebraic Calendar). We seek out God’s wisdom, warnings, and direction for that month. We celebrate with praise and have dessert and fellowship at the end of every monthly service, known as “The Gathering”.

We also have chosen to honor God by acknowledging Passover, Pentecost, Rosh Hashanah, and Feast of Tabernacles. We also have monthly Sabbath Services in order to honor and learn why this was commanded in the Bible.

Please visit our calendar to find dates of all our events as they are posted.

5. Not to be only Hearers, but Doers

“But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22
